100 Bold Pavilion Designs

From Field-Inspired Pavilions to Giant Hand Pavilions:

When it comes to bold pavilion designs, there are a number of examples from architects all around the world looking to push the boundaries of what can be done with this kind of architecture. Especially with the Milan Expo coming up in 2015, there have been a number of submissions for this event which are inspired by a unifying theme.

While some architects choose to make more abstract designs like the one that looks like a giant blue hand raised above the ground, others go for more simplistic designs. Each one is meant to symbolize a theme and asks for visitors to think about these topics in more detail. For example, the Israel Pavilion comes with a field-like look, asking people to ponder about different forms of agriculture to create a sustainable world.
