La Ville Intelligente may look like a pretty pavilion, but it happens to serve a greater purpose than simply looking good. This orange, metallic structure actually visualizes urban Paris as having turned into a futuristic metropolis.
Designed and built by Jakob and Macfarlane, La Ville Intelligente pre-tensioned Ferrari canvas and tubular steel rods to create a unique shell of a dome. With its multiple entrances and exits, the singular structure gives visitors an experience, providing a huge flow of energy as they enter different environments within.
Originally developed for the Helldemain exhibition, La Ville Intelligente is currently on display inside the Parc de la Villette of Paris for a short period of time. It is part of Orange’s (the telecom company) brand DNA, which depicts a futuristic and technologically advanced urban Paris.
