Thilina Liyanage is the creative mind behind the Lotus Villa, which is resting right amid a tropical landscape. It is an architectural representation of nature and structure with the influence of the lotus flower. It celebrates the purity and tranquility of the plant as well as its beauty and enlightenment.
To create the design, the architect used SketchUp and Vray. The Lotus Villa is made up of three main sections that make up the charming design -- this includes the steel framing, a canvas, and a glass roof on top. The roof invites a plethora of natural light to the interior space to create a vibrant and airy space that connects visitors to the sun. The canvas replicates the lotus petals and it is supported by steel frames.
