
ASUS Announces Design You Can Feel for Milan Design Week

At Milan Design Week 2025, ASUS will unveil a landmark installation as part of its Design You Can Feel exhibition, created in collaboration with Studio INI and designer-engineer Nassia Inglessis. Centered on themes of materiality, craftsmanship, and AI, the large-scale kinetic sculpture will react to visitor movement, offering an immersive, interactive experience. Alongside the installation, ASUS will present a curated selection of works that reveal the innovative design thinking and processes behind its industry-leading design team.
Housed beneath the curved glass ceiling of Galleria Meravigli, the installation dynamically responds to visitors as they walk through it, revealing and concealing space through fluid movement. Visitors will traverse a central passage where their presence activates wing-like, semi-transparent panels that part and close behind them, creating a seamless undulating motion. This movement evokes a perpetual interplay of visibility and concealment, challenging perceptions of private and public space. The wings, composed of aluminum honeycomb with elements made from ASUS’ proprietary Ceraluminum material, engage the senses by reflecting and absorbing light, inviting visitors to interact physically with the structure.
The installation builds on Studio INI’s expertise in creating experiential public artworks and will combine design, technology and engineering with artistic expression to create a kinetic, biomimetic sculpture that reacts to visitors' presence. As visitors move through the installation, it reacts to reveal or conceal its surroundings to explore the relationship with permanence within spatial architecture. By engaging with the structure, visitors are encouraged to reflect on their connection to space and environment through the weight and movement of their bodies.
ASUS’s interactive Milan Design Week exhibit showcases its Zenbook-inspired innovation, featuring lightweight Ceraluminium and NASA-grade aluminum honeycomb for structural and sensory impact. Touch-responsive AI generates dynamic spatial forms based on visitor interaction, highlighting the connection between humans, architecture, and technology. ASUS’s design team will also share insights at the event. Design You Can Feel will run from April 8 to 13, 2025, at Galleria Meravigli, a prestigious 1920’s Art Nouveau venue in the centre of Milan.
