The new Public Records exhibition and event that took place during NYCxDesign week was meant to mark the official launch of the brand's in-house design service. It focuses on bridging the gap that exists between designers and developers. The design agency worked closely with developers to expand the design branch that caters closer to hospitality outwards. The team taps the help of various architects and designers with work including concept, design, operations, and programming.
Davis explains to Dezeen, "As the building market becomes more competitive and the lines continue to blur between hospitality, residential, and office, we believe developers will increasingly need real cultural partners to create meaningful projects." He plans to work closer with like-minded spaces, continuing "Real estate developers often work with who they know, and there are certain designers that work within that space. We aim to help bridge that gap and connect designers typically operating in a more cultural space to our projects, and to translate these relationships and understandings between real estate and design."
