Space + Image Pavilion is a structure located in Mumbai and done by GSAPP + NMIMS studios. The idea behind the design is to explore physical and visual worlds, and how these various ideas interconnect with something like a structure.
The design is very modern, and it is situated near a boardwalk on the outskirts of the city in Mumbai. As such people are able to pass by and explore the structure, thinking about these ideas of physical space and how people take this experience in visually. Another question that the designers explore is, "are there other forces to be expressed in architecture than responding to gravity?" as stated on DesignBoom. While this questioning is slightly philosophical, it's thoughts such as this that help push innovations within this field of architecture.
