41 Examples of Hovering Homes

From Metallic Barn Abodes to Hilltop-Hovering Havens:

Hovering homes are not just for people living in areas with poor drainage systems and flash floods. Now, architects are integrating various forms of suspended architecture to give clients a sense of awe when laying eyes on their abodes for the first time. These examples are nothing short of stunning.

The Iporanga House for example is tucked away in Brazil near Sao Paulo, and is located within a rainforest. The brief from the client was quite demanding given the circumstances, as there was a limited area for building, but he also wanted it quite spacious with five rooms. In the end, the architects used a multi-level approach to ensure the building was still roomy, yet within the space constraints.
