Vietnamese studio Ho Khue Architects managed to do a phenomenal job with a challenging assignment of creating a capacious, elegant and comfortable urban house on a modest square footage allotment, with the 'Nest House' taking inspiration from the comforting environs of birds' nests.
The aptly named 'Nest House' comprises a three-story structure that utilizes diagonal pillars that allows for a multi-level dwelling and creates a unique elevated aesthetic, with the negative space utilized for plantings and greenery. This makes it an ideal place in which to rest, recuperate and escape from the stresses and strains of city life.
What's great about this urban house is that it uses deft design and vertical space in order to offer a substantial and stylish living environment on an area measuring only 16 x 4.5 meters.
