Brazilian architecture studio DB Arquitectos completes the Casa VJC Iporanga, which is a summer holiday home surrounded by a wooden screen. It is nestled in a forest location just outside of Sao Paolo in Brazil. The house has five levels and each floor is stacked delicately as it rests on a steep slope foundation. The lower areas house private sleeping spaces and lush plant surroundings. The upper levels are designed for socializing overlooking treetops and the coast.
The design team speaks to Dezeen about the design concept, stating that it is "An invitation to immersion, the proposal takes advantage of the double layer that surrounds the residence, from the palette of natural materials applied to the base to the canopy of trees – alluding to a treehouse – suggesting a shelter. A pause to urban frenzy, this is the ideal place to slow down, emphasising the calm lifestyle."
