Local design studio McLeod Bovell designs the Liminal House with a seaside view and dynamic cantilever. It is also defined by its various lightwells and located in British Columbia's West Vancouver area.
The team explains, "The 'liminal' is a transformational state between where one thing begins and another ends; the position where something meets, mixes, and merges. Liminal House straddles a similar threshold between West Vancouver's natural stony seashore and its suburban residential neighbourhood." It rests on top of a steep site and overlooks views of the Pacific Ocean and the entrance opens up from the auto court along the side of the hill. The main level comprises a dining space, living area, and kitchen with a floating fireplace.
