i29 Designs the Open Park Villa to Connect with Nature
Amy Duong — January 16, 2024 — Art & Design
Dutch architecture firm i29 presents a look at the Open Park Villa, which is a house located in Limburg, the Netherlands that embodies the focus of reconnecting its residents to the nature that surrounds the location. The villa is clad with bamboo and overlooks various angles of the outdoors with extended sightlines that are purposefully integrated to the building.
The studio tells Dezeen, "The client wanted to have a home which gives the feeling that the home is everywhere on the plot, but being present in a very honest way in relation to the green surroundings." It is the foundation of the client's brief to embrace the greenery around the site. This is also a part of a larger project that transforms what was once military terrain into a sustainable residential space.
