Andu Masebo and Rio Kobayashi Create the Dwellings Project
Amy Duong — October 2, 2024 — Art & Design
Andu Masebo and Rio Kobayashi are a few names out of 23 designers who have been tapped to create birdhouses as a part of the larger Dwellings project. All of the works come together to be displayed at the South London Gallery with the notion of what it means to 'build a house for a bird.'
Computer Room is a design studio that formulated the concept with the birdwatching collective Flock Together. London and Copenhagen-based designer Daniel Schofield shares, "The form and proportions were chosen to be good for birds but also simple to produce industrially and locally, hopefully giving more chance of these being made en-masse, and giving the best opportunity of making more homes for birds in our urban landscape."
