Top 30 Architecture Trends in March

From Computer-Themed Pavilions to Prefab Sauna Cabins:

These March 2021 architecture trends range from computer-themed outdoor pavilions to prefab sauna cabins.

When it comes to the month's eco architecture standouts, examples include 'The Lily Pad' vacation rental home -- "a cozy escape for travelers who are looking to try out tiny home living and enjoy the majesty of the surrounding outdoor wilderness." Made from a shipping container, the sustainable residence includes a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living space alongside a large outdoor sitting area. Another notable example is Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter's sustainable cabins project that is located in a French mountain village. Inspired by small countryside cottages or "hyttes," the eco-friendly structures embrace compact living and are meant to mimic the natural environment surrounding them.

Other March 2021 architecture trends include Bjarke Ingels Group's new Manhattan, New York skyscraper titled 'The Spiral.' The $3.7 billion building reaches soaring heights and features a twisting terrace design that acts as its main focal point that emphasizes outdoor space within a busy urban environment.
