Architecture firm TEST has constructed the prefab house changeover cabin, which is defined by its textured wood cladding. Nestled in the forest, the location is dominated by Beech trees and the team has created the home to replace the pre-fab house fallen into disrepair.
The studio worked with the plot and created three options for how it would approach remodeling. To come to a decision, it worked with the client to keep the nine pillars that stayed to support the existing shelter. The studio would then build a new modular cabin on top of this. The design led to create the cabin offsite, built in a workshop in the city with modules and wooden posts.
