Zaha Hadid Architects has announced a spectacularly unique exhibition building project for the Chinese capital city of Beijing that will make use of contemporary technologies and the firm's famed architectural prowess whilst respecting and taking inspiration from the traditional architecture and design of China.
The International Exhibition Centre's interior will feature a number of design cues that aim to integrate the building's various spaces, such as its conference center, hotel and public installation spaces. These include ample use of the color copper, recessed windows and ceramic tile roofs.
In addition to these traditionally recognizable architectural designs, this unique exhibition building also features futuristic eco-friendly traits such as integrated solar panels, rainwater collection, grey water recycling and ample spaces for plants and trees.
