Left-Yeovers from UK brand Yeo Valley started out as an April Fool's Joke, but quickly developed into an innovative solution that helps the brand cut down on food waste. The limited edition yogurt range is made from a mixture of fruits and juices that were rescued from being wasted needlessly.

The Instock Restaurant in Amsterdam is a great new dining concept from Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn. The food rescue restaurant concept was suggested by four retail employees, who presented the idea to the brand's board of directors and who are now overseeing the operation.
