From Allergy Awareness Initiatives to LGBT-Friendly AR Apps
Riley von Niessen — July 29, 2018 — Social Good
The July 2018 social good ideas focus on campaigns, products, and services that aim to better the lives of consumers, the environment, or a charitable organization in some way or another.
In an effort to raise awareness for ocean pollution, Lush launched its Sea Turtle Jelly Bombs, which boast colorful designs and are made to look like the marine animals. In addition, the bath bombs are infused with oceanic ingredients like seaweed, which works to soften the skin. Other key ingredients include pine needle and sandalwood oils.
Also featured are Louis Vuitton's Lockit Fluo friendship bracelets that support children in Syria, with the luxury label collaborating with UNICEF on the initiative. The bracelets come in a range of colorways and include small padlocks on them to represent unity and commitment. Each one retails for $235 USD, with 40% of proceeds going towards UNICEF.
