On Tim Hortons Camp Day, all proceeds from hot coffee sales are donated to the Tim Horton Children's Foundation, directly supporting youth from low-income communities across Canada.
Camp Day has worked to provide a life-changing experience that allows young people to foster a sense of community, leadership, teamwork and most importantly self-worth. For the past 25 years, there has been more than $175 million raised for the foundation, allowing more than 257,000 children to go to camp and participate in amazing and rewarding activities. Camper Alumni publicly speak to the kind of impact Camp Day had on their life and future, encouraging Canadians to continue to support this cause and allow future children the same opportunity.
The initiative also hosts school programs throughout the year to ensure children are continually being influenced positively and that they're positively influencing those around them. "It comes down to two things - helping kids discover their strengths and pursue a life without limits," says Dave Newnham, President & Executive Director of Tim Horton Children's Foundation.
With the slogan "Buy a coffee, change a life" Tim Hortons Camp Day continuously aims to change the lives of as many young Canadians as possible -- offering equal opportunity to those know need it most.
