As the July 2016 food product trends reveal, consumers remain committed to eating healthier ingredients, but are not ready to give up the convenience of prepared snacks and meals. As a result, companies are experimenting with better-for-you dishes that are both nutritious and hassle-free.
While the shift toward healthier food products is nothing new, the July 2016 food product trends reveal a specific focus on natural meat. Indeed, consumers are increasingly looking for meat products that are not only lean, but also organic, grass-fed and hormone-free. Some examples of these more natural meat products include, organic dinner sausages, antibiotic-free chicken meatballs and grass-fed charcuterie.
While there is an increased focus on healthy products, consumers are not ready to give up the convenience of packaged foods. More specifically, consumers continue to enjoy frozen foods that can be safely stored away until needed. Some examples of innovative new frozen food products include partially baked bread rolls, individually frozen muffins and ready-made pasta meals.
