From Sun-Activated Coupons to Flip Flop Vending Machines

These summer marketing campaigns use the heat in their favor, playing up refreshment and cool summer activities like going to the beach. These marketing campaigns take many forms, including physical products, apps, interactive advertisements and experiences. However, one thing that most of them have in common is that they were launched outside, since the majority of people want to make the most of the good weather while it's around.
While some of these ads are directly powered or influenced by the sun, others offer a way for people to beat the heat. Some of the best examples of this include Coca-Cola bottles that were sculpted from solid ice and given out at the beach, or Lipton's bus stop ad that lightly mists sweaty people as they go by.
