While people are making proper nutrition a priority in their lifestyle, they're also making more time for exercise. The year's top trends demonstrate how sports are become integrated into people's daily schedules and social lives.
One of the most notable trends from 2015 is the emergence of athleisure. Athleisure is the term given to apparel being worn to the gym but that is also stylish enough to be worn outside of the gym. Brands like Nike and Fabletics have become exceptionally popular for this, especially among female consumers.
Gamification is also being integrated into the way consumers exercise. Equinox created a gamified spinning class that tracks participants' activity and scores them against others in the class.
