While it may seem early for pumpkin spice season, the September 2022 food trends prove that its never too soon to bring back everyone's favorite autumnal flavor.
When it comes to pumpkin spice, most brands have already taken the pumpkin plunge. However, this year saw a few unexpected brands branch out to create pumpkin-flavored products. For instance, Tate's Bake Shop, which is known for its crispy cookies, just debuted its first ever Pumpkin Spice Cookies. Similarly, the no-frills energy bar brand RXBAR also debuted its first Pumpkin Spice protein bar, which features a whopping 12 grams of protein per serving alongside the seasonal spices.
But as the September 2022 food trends demonstrate, pumpkin spice is still a staple for many classic brands as well – a few of which are trying to put a new twist on the flavor. For instance, Pillsbury, which already has plenty of pumpkin offerings, recently debuted new Grands Pumpkin Spice Rolls, putting a more breakfast-friendly twist on pumpkin spice.
