Wendy's Rolls Out New Design Concept, 'Global Next Gen'

Fast-casual restaurant chain Wendy’s has unveiled its all-new design standard dubbed the 'Global Next Gen,' which includes a range of new in-store design features that are geared toward tech-savvy customers.
Some of the new features include a dedicated pick-up window as well as a signature parking spot for delivery drivers. The idea behind this feature is to reduce drive-thru traffic while making online ordering more efficient for consumers. Another notable new feature is the introduction of a "galley kitchen" that allows for better workflow movement and, in turn, increased employee productivity.
“To accelerate our business and expand our footprint across the globe, we must consistently meet the needs of our customers however they chose to engage with Wendy’s, whether that’s through a digital platform or in the drive-thru,” said Todd Penegor, Wendy’s president and CEO, in a statement.
