From Fast Food Pride Lines to Safe-Sex Wearables

Its not unusual for a business to align itself with an important cause, and this list of July 2018 social business ideas list just a few of the ways in which companies are expanding its services to appeal to a socially conscious consumer, or to support a cause.
June was Pride month, promoting numerous companies to show support for the LGBTQ+ community with a variety of campaigns, clothing lines and charitable initiatives. Some standouts include Shake Shack's Pride line, which also promoted its new Pride-themed drink. On a similar note, Under Armour updated one of its sneaker silhouettes to feature a celebratory rainbow.
Meanwhile, McDonald's took an environmentally friendly stance by banning the distribution of plastic straws. The fast food chain will be replacing the straws with an eco-friendly alternative.
