From See-Thru Soup Packaging to Artful Ingredient Branding
Laura McQuarrie — May 29, 2016 — Marketing
The top May 2016 food branding ideas reveal a major shift away from large multi-packs in favor of portable single-serve options. One of the best examples of this are pickles that are individually packaged in plastic pouches, which is a clear move away from heavy family-sized glass jars.
Other familiar food products like sour cream, soy sauce and ice cream are now being reinvented in new formats that calls for packaging in squeezable tubes, capsules and aerosol cans.
As well as becoming smaller in size, many food packaging examples are being given at least one other secondary purpose to make it useful after its contents have been emptied. For example, Push for Pizza boxes were designed with a built-in pipe in celebration of 420.
