From Botanical Marketplace Concepts to Electric Bike Shops

From electronic bike shops to upside-down sneaker shops, the 2022 retail trends demonstrate the strong demand for in-store shopping experiences.
After more than two years of doing most of their shopping online, many consumers are ready to visit stores in person again. In many cases, they're looking for shops that showcase the kind of products that are tough to buy online, like, for example, an electric bike. The local Paris studio Ciguë recently opened a stunning bike shop that aims to bring consumers back to nature – a feeling you just can't replicate online.
Of course, even for products that are easy to buy online, brands are still creating new ways to bring consumers in. As the 2022 retails trends highlight, this is especially big for sustainable retailers. For instance, Alllbirds recently opened its first store in Canada and used entirely green-certified and recycled materials to do so. Another example is The Body Shop, which celebrated the reformulation of its Vitamin C serum by partnered with a local artist and environmental activist to create a window mural for one of its stores.
