As the East becomes more fascinated with the West, the reverse is also happening at the same time, as seen through an increased interest in Asian culture and Chinese packaging. In order to appeal to the shifting demands of the market, many consumer packaged goods are now referencing cultural icons like pandas, lanterns, Chinese toile, ying-yangs and takeout containers in order to create a connection with China using some of the most recognized symbols from the country.
