In order to announce the opening of the Giant Panda exhibit at the Toronto Zoo, the zoo sent out a number of charming promotional gift boxes. The interior contents of the black and white box were arranged so that the two black tea cups and tea packets would create the facial features of a bear.
As well as being a simple and effective way to share the zoo's news, the arrangement is also a clever way to play up important aspects of Chinese culture, such as the tradition of drinking tea, balance and even the country's beautifully simple brush paintings. The set included one black tea and one white tea, and recipients were encouraged to raise their glasses for the arrival of Er Shun and Da Mao before visiting to the zoo to visit these two pandas in person.
