You're probably wondering why these fruits have been dressed up like vegetables. Well, A Bigger Harvest packaging combines two Chinese traditions into one, and hence two foods have been united. Allow me to explain:
Art director Soik Yee Koh was working for Alpha245 to come up with a witty company gift to give to clients and prospective clients for Chinese New Year. Mandarin oranges represent gold and the carrot represents the harvest, and the favorite food of rabbits. This was the year of the rabbit, and the message was a hope for abundance.
Therefore, the designer stuffed citrus fruits, in increasing girth, into narrow net bags so that they'd align. These were then sealed off with leafy tops for the perfect root vegetable disguise as A Bigger Harvest packaging.
