A benefit of being wealthy is that it gives you the freedom to buy the most expensive everyday items that many people find essential.

Sometimes we get the urge to splurge and can't help ourselves from buying that $4 bottle of water or $5 latte. The updating of everyday objects to something exceptionally luxe is becoming more and more common, and act as status symbols. It's hard to imagine who these products are created for and what market drives designers to keep on producing products of this magnitude. That being said, some of this stuff is very cool and if I had the money I may very well buy myself a $100,000 smartphone case; but probably not.
