Top 80 Design Trends in October

The October 2024 Design round-up stands out with some stylish pieces and some forward-thinking collaborations.

On the design front, Mazō pays homage to the oeuvre of Magnus Læssøe Stephensen, an architect and product designer who played a significant role in shaping the Golden Age of Danish Design. Key pieces include the TMBO Chair and Sofa, as well as the ARCH Chair. Elsewhere, another design-forward company, Hem, reintroduced rjö Kukkapuro’s Experiment Chair. This iconic postmodern design was originally launched in 1984.

The October 2024 Design round-up also calls attention to an exciting tool prototype. Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University recently developed a prototype 3D knitting machine capable of creating solid three-dimensional objects.
