Gardens by the Bay in Singapore presents the 'Impressions of Monet' exhibition, a two-part event that features both a floral display and a sensorial experience.
The first part, 'Impressions of Monet: The Garden,' is located in the Flower Dome and offers a detailed recreation of Monet’s Clos Normand and Water Garden, reflecting the environment where he lived for 43 years.
The Flower Dome includes over "18,000 plants from more than 40 species, such as violas, chamomiles, geraniums, and verbenas." The display also features ponds filled with water lilies, a notable aspect of Monet’s work. Eight out of ten varieties of water lilies on display were sourced from "the Latour-Marliac nursery in France, the same source where Monet obtained his lilies."
The exhibition also includes replicas of Monet’s living spaces, such as his kitchen, dining room, salon, and reading room, offering visitors a view into his daily life and interactions.
