Fabulous Furniture Crafted Using Garbage

Considering everything in one's home takes valuable energy and materials to produce, these pieces of upcycled home decor are the very definition of resourceful.
Almost everything in the average person's house was produced in a factory somewhere with materials from somewhere else that were themselves refined in some other place; all this running around requires a lot of energy. Ships, trucks and planes are required to move all this material about. The result of this, of course, is an increased carbon footprint via the burning of fossil fuels.
Still, many people would be more inclined to look upon a dumpy couch on the side of the road as a piece of junk than as ecological panacea. In contrast, these pieces of upcycled home decor manage to be economically and environmentally efficient while also achieving an appealing aesthetic.
