The Beetle-Infested Richmond Olympic Oval of the Vancouver Olympics was comprised of one million feet of wood that had been invaded by pine beetles. Designers of the Richmond Olympic Oval had found innovative ways to utilize this wood and it had been used to make the auditorium.
Now, that Winter Games are over, this beetle-infested wood will used in these nicely designed chairs. The chairs will allow for two versions with only a minimal increase in manufacturing costs.
