This Music Genre Has Officially Turned into a New-Age Lifestyle
Armida Ascano — October 11, 2011 — Pop Culture
Hip Hop, like every other form of music, is in an odd place right now. Rappers like Kanye West and Lil Wayne have brought this genre to a place its originators never thought it could reach: mass popularity. That being said, it's no wonder there are so many different kinds of modern hip hop finds. Everything from advertising to apparel is seeing a bit of rap inspiration, whether endorsed by a rapper or not.
Though Kanye West came out with a clothing line and there is a Tumblr account dedicated to Drake hugging people, more serious rap innovations do stand. The late, great Notorious B.I.G is still being honored over a decade after his death; veteran rap groups like the Wu-Tang Clan still get endless amounts of fan-made art and clothing created in their image. If you're a fan of hip hop, or are a bit of a noob looking to learn a bit, check out this list to see what's up.
