From Edible City Maps to US Sitcom Maps

From maps that are completely accurate and edible, to others that graph just how mad people are around the world as expressed through social media, these distinct maps demonstrate the vast ways topography can be represented.
My personal favorite are the distinct maps created by Henry Hargreaves and Caitlin Levin. The pair have put together a design that both showcases the food grown in certain countries, while actually making these places out of the edible substances. Not only is this extremely artistic, but it also helps to educate people around the world as to where certain food actually comes from.
Maps have come a long way over the past decade, with Google throwing a wrench in the traditional game of finding the way through town. High-tech or not, these maps are certainly distinct.
