Fruit and geography have come together beautifully in this truly unique collaboration by New Zealand artist Henry Hargreaves and New York-based stylist Caitlin Levin. With typography created by graphic designer Sarit Melmed, the maps have a vintage-inspired feel while at the same time, remaining contemporary and innovative.
Inspired by both travel and culinary arts, the design duo decided to make maps out of the food that each country is known for. This speaks to not only geographic location, but the lifestyle of each country's occupants. The combination makes for something that is aesthetically and textually interesting.
Implications - Food and art combine for interesting designs.
