Various business are finding new ways to meet consumer demands in both emerging and pre-existing markets. One of the notable 2019 market trends occurred in the Houston area, where Walmart created a pilot program for driverless grocery deliveries. The pilot program will allow Walmart to troubleshoot autonomous grocery deliveries and potentially expand the program.
Another important market trend was Amazon selling movie tickets to online consumers in India. Amazon's new venture provides consumers with a convenient way to purchase tickets. In order to begin selling movie tickets, Amazon entered into a five-year partnership with BookMyShow.
Lastly, Volocopter announced that it partnered with John Deere to produce an autonomous crop-dusting drone. The drone will allow farms to more efficiently distribute fertilizer and other substances. Volocopter's autonomous drone could reduce production costs while expediting the crop-dusting process.
