Allbirds Has Created a Line of Sustainable Socks in Three Diffrent Cuts
Daniel Johnson — August 27, 2019 — Eco
Allbirds has launched a line of sustainable socks, which marks the company's expansion to offer products outside of its sustainable shoes. The sustainable socks are created using Trino, which is a proprietary yarn, as well as tree and merino fibers. The socks are designed to wick sweat off of people's feet and keep them dry. Allbirds spent 18 months crafting the design of its new socks.
The socks are available in three different types, "hiders" a sock that will not show and has a $16 CAD price point, "tubers" a crew sock priced at $20 CAD, and "quarters," an in-between size that is $18 CAD. The socks are available in different colors, including, 'waterfall,' and 'cannery.'
All of the different sock models maintain the company's ethos of being carbon neutral.
