From Dairy e-Businesses to Closed Loop Plant Systems

This Social Business top list of farm-influenced social innovations call on an increasingly normalized way of looking at urban life that does not necessarily work to "sacrifice" a life in the country, that is, a life with fresh air, trees, access to outdoor spaces that are safe, simple ingredients not treated with chemicals and the like.
The question becomes, however, who gets access to these farm-influenced social innovations and who does not, despite the seeming rise in a "back to the earth" type of state of mind. From dairy farm e-businesses to closed loop plant systems, many of these ventures work in both rural and urban areas and some are more people-oriented and others, more strictly focused on direct impacts to the planet strictly speaking, its ecosystems and animals.
