La Fageda Offers Employment as Well as Support for the Disabled

Assistance is not always provided nor accessible to people with disabilities, which is what La Fageda in Spain is working to achieve. Situated in Cataluna, Spain, La Fageda has created hundreds of jobs for people with various disabilities.
Founded by Cristobal Colon, the social enterprise’s famous dairy farm is best known for its yogurts and flans and sells over millions of dairy products monthly. It also operates its own vegetable gardens to produce their own jam, a small cattle farm and a landscaping service as well.
Aside from creating jobs for the disabled, La Fageda also offers a support program for workers who don’t stay with their families. A group of psychologists there oversee and assist with the rehabilitation of the employees.
