Cupcake Vineyards is launching Cupcake LightHearted as a low-sugar, lower-calorie premium wine. The new lineup comes in at just 80 calories, 8% alcohol by volume and less than a gram of sugar per five-ounce serving. As described by Jessica Tomei, Winemaker for Cupcake Vineyards, "I created Cupcake LightHearted after realizing there wasn’t a lower-calorie and lower-alcohol wine option on the market that was delicious and complemented my active lifestyle."
Cupcake LightHearted promises to appeal to consumers for having 20% fewer calories than leading hard seltzers, plus a formula that's vegan, gluten-free and low-carb. While the premium Cupcake LightHearted products are lower in alcohol, they promises to be just as full-flavor as ever in Pinot Grigio, Rosé, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varietals.
