To support the current hygiene advice being shared during a pandemic, KFC has halted its Finger Lickin' Good slogan and in the meantime, it is playing with other iconic taglines #UntilWeCanFingerLickAgain. On Twitter, KFC UK & Ireland asked "Which other brand's slogan should we use?" and it received hundreds of replies from users and brands alike.
As a result, KFC mocked up a playful series of ads featuring slogans from Specsavers, Aldi and Marmite. The borrowed slogans range from funny and oddly fitting to outright ridiculous and either way, they get people talking. Beyond sharing the mockups online, KFC sent out an advertising van in London to share borrowed taglines like "I’m Lovin’ It," “Just Do It” and “Gives You Wings."
