Ercol's Updated Mid-Century Range Embraces Millennial Pink
Laura McQuarrie — January 26, 2018 — Art & Design
Ercol recently refreshed its mid-century range of furniture by adding touches of Millennial pink.
The mid-century designs that have been modernized include two styles originally created by Lucian Ercolani in the 1940s and 1950s: the Loveseat and the Butterfly chair. These two new partially pink-hued designs are now grouped together and referred to as the 'Half-Rose Originals.' While the Butterfly chair now sports pink-colored legs, the Loveseat boasts a playfully dip-dyed design. The Half-Rose Originals collection was launched just days ago as part of the January edition of Maison&Objet.
Across the world of furniture design, architecture, interior design and beyond, brands are embracing the popular blush tone. The shade of pink is said to get its name from the fact that many Millennials boldly integrate color into their homes, unlike previous generations that still gravitate towards neutrals.
