In our fast-paced, high-tech world, many people have difficulty dating because there is simply no time outside of work to meet someone. The city of Prague has recognized this problem and is working to remedy it with singles-only subway cars.
"In the metro you can already read and learn, so why not find a partner?" says Filip Drapal of Ropid, Prague's public transportation company. Annually, 600 million people use Prague's subways and the introduction of these "love carriages" is intended to help people find love as well as increase subway use.
Ropid is serious about helping people to find love on their travels -- it even wants to discourage anyone but singles from occupying the trains so people can truly connect with someone special.
