The 'Cornflakes Advert' Video Will Make Your Blood Curdle
Harris Jay Rosenberg Alterman — January 16, 2012 — Pop Culture
If the movie Paranormal Activity had a commercial break, the Cornflakes Advert would be in there. This sketch video by Worm Hotel puts the healthy cereal Cornflakes in the whole new perspective that leaves one in terror and never wanting to eat Cornflakes ever again.
The video begins with a man eating cereal and quick editing flashes to creepy images of him screaming in terror. As the dramatic music builds the man appears to be going crazy while rubbing his face and shoveling in the crunchy cereal. Then the man slouches against the wall with a look of horror on his face as a creature in a black hood and no face crawls up the stairs. The creature cries out in a satanic voice "cornflakes!" and the man yells back in agony "cornflakes!"
The Cornflakes Advert ends with the tagline "Cornflakes, have you forgotten what happens?" I don't think anyone who watches this video will ever forget what happens.
