The top October 2014 tech trends very accurately represent the exciting past month technology and its related industries experienced. In the tech world, September is always dominated by Apple announcements on new products. This year was particularly monumental as Apple released its iPhone 6, its iPhone 6 Plus -- a smartphone with an enlarged screen -- its new iOS 8, its very own smartwatch and updated computers.
Apple aside, the tech world ushered in additional new products such as the self-watering indoor gardens from ZeroSoil, the artificial indoor oceans from the US Navy and the robotic valet services in Germany.
One of the most standout tech innovations from the past month is the cannabis-hunting drones from the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO).
New York Fashion Week even tapped into technology to enhance its shows in the Rebecca Minkoff runway presentation that created a 3D experience for guests.
