As many countries begin rolling out the vaccine, Walgreens and Uber recently joined forces to make it easier for patrons to get a COVID-19 vaccine from a pharmacy location by accessing a ride via the rideshare service. Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi commented on the partnership, stating: "We’re committed to helping ensure that transportation is not a barrier to getting vaccinated. We know that by making it easier to get to an appointment, more people will get vaccinated."
Another rideshare company joining the vaccination efforts is Lyft. The brand recently introduced the 'Lyft Pass for Healthcare' in reaction to its users' growing needs during the pandemic. The new program helps passengers book transportation to and from their healthcare providers.
