From Indoor Gymnastic Playsets to Feline Furniture Designs

Perhaps the stereotype of a furniture aficionado is someone who frequents antique stores and can lecture on the subtleties of Queen Anne versus Chippendale, but the March 2017 art and design trends show that not all furniture need be designed for those folks.
Furniture design is essential, since people spend countless hours of their lives both on and around furniture. This means that furniture design needs to take into account all people, not just those with a particularly fine appreciation for it. For instance, the Hushamok 'Okoa' baby hammock is for infants, but its circular style is pleasing for adults as well. Further, furniture can be pleasingly design even if those using it are incapable of recognizing it as such. The 9 Lives design show in Singapore shows off just these pieces, featuring the most aesthetically appealing cat furniture the curators could find.
