Coroflot is an online design community that recently developed a mobile office space to reflect the creativity of the people that power it. For the project, Coroflot worked with LOS OSOS on constructing its vision.
The 'Mobile Work Unit,' or 'MWU' is a mobile office on wheels that is built on a trailer base. On top of this, the unit has transparent walls and a fairly traditional post-and-beam construction. While the structure adopts a fairly simple rectangular shape, this only serves to create flexibility for the possibilities of the interior.
The inside of the MWU is filled with a modular furniture system that was specifically designed for the project. This way, individual pieces can easily be modified, repurposed or expanded for future growth of the company. As of now, the MWU is parked inside of an old ambulance garage in Portland, Oregon.
